If that headline doesn’t make you stop doing what you are doing, then I don’t know what will! You read that right~ The city of Oviedo has agreed to purchase the Twin Rivers Golf Course for $5mil and pay an additional $465,000 to the property owner for various fees they incur from the sale.
The best part of this whole deal is: The city will continue to operate it as a golf course, with help, of course. They are looking for a strategic partner to help with the everyday functions, so if you know anyone…….
The city also went on to say that in order to pay for the golf course, they are going to use a rise in stormwater fees to cover the expense of purchasing it. The increase will equal an average of approximately $3 per home per month. It’s unknown what will happen if the city finds the project continues to be a profit losing business.
For now, I’ll take the great news that its’ not being turned into homes.
