Profile
The Seminole Education, Restoration, and Volunteer (SERV) Program and the Lawton Environmental Study Area (LESA) invite you to participate in a garden workday on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 8:30 am – 10:30 am. Help to spruce up the LESA garden, which is a natural space used as an outdoor classroom. Have fun during this relaxed event while helping to beautify a community resource and protect wildlife habitat! Volunteers will be working in muddy conditions (garden) or wet conditions (pond). Closed-toed shoes are required; old clothes, garden gloves, and sun protection are strongly recommended. For more information please call Elizabeth Stephens at 407-665-2457 or emailĀ [email protected]. The garden is right behind Lawton Elementary School; parking will be on the loop by the corner of S. Lake Jesup Avenue & Smith Street in Oviedo, FL. A map will be sent to all who sign-up.
